UNWIND Gentle Yoga with Meditation

A calm, nurturing class to help slow down both body and mind. Most of this class is floor based using a bolster for support so that you can deeply relax into poses to help unwind and release stored tension.

Class concludes with guided meditation.

All Levels Yoga Flow

A more dynamic class that is focused on linking breath and movement. Attention is given not only to the posture itself but also on the transition into each posture.

A flow class will generally include a mixture of standing, seated and lying postures building on your strength, balance and flexibility both in body and mind.

This class is suitable for all levels of experience including beginners.

Yoga/Pilates Fusion

A fusion of both postural yoga and pilates. The focus of these sessions is to help the body re-learn correct posture and to engage and strengthen the bodies stabilising muscles.

You can expect to start your sessions with yoga and spinal warm up, moving into matwork pilates and winding down with some floor based yoga stretches and relaxation.

Meditation and Soundbath

An opportunity for people to come together in a safe, nurturing environment and be guided within through the use of different mindfulness and meditation techniques.

You are welcome to lay down or sit up with some support if preferred.

Each session is complimented by a mini sound bath which can help to relieve the symptoms of stress and mild anxiety.

Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Nidra

Mindfulness meditation can be described as the practice of holding awareness in the present moment with an attitude of non-judgement, kindness and curiosity.

With regular practice this can become a natural attitude of mind which in turn leads to more experience of peace and overall wellbeing. It can also help us to be more skilful in discerning what is truthfully happening in our experience and what our mind perceives to be happening.

The practice itself is quite simple and won’t require any previous meditation experience.

Thoughts will be a perfectly normal and useful part of your meditation practice. Over time you may find that the amount of thoughts arising in general will reduce and the quality of those thoughts will change.

This class begins with a guided yoga nidra practice where awareness is brought to the breath and also rotated around the body. Along with many other benefits this practice gradually relaxes both body and mind setting a great foundation for meditation.
